Arab papers, European figures, Iran deplore US
accusations against Syria Syria-USA,

Arab and Iranian newspapers continued today condemnation of the
US accusations directed against Syria pointing out that these
accusations come as a result of Syria's firm and principled stance
towards Arab national causes.
In Riyadh, Saudi al-Belad
newspaper condemned the US accusations directed against Syria
calling on all Arab states to confront these accusations.
The
daily stressed that these accusations are pretexts that don't target
only Syria but all the Arab states.
In Muscat, the Omani Oman
newspaper denounced the US accusations directed against Syria
stressing that these accusations due to Israeli
motivation.
In Abu Dhabi the Emirates Akhbar al-Yaum
newspaper condemned the American accusations against Syria stressing
that all the American pretexts against Syria are baseless and come
in response to the Israeli interests.
The daily called on all
Arab states to act immediately to face these accusations and to
support Syria in facing them.
For its parts, the Emirates
al-Khaleej newspaper affirmed that Israel tries to destabilize the
region through arousing the tension in the Syrian -American
relations.
In Beirut, the Lebanese Ad-Deyar and al-Sharq
newspapers underlined that the US accusations against Syria are due
to Syria's commitment to the international legitimacy resolutions
and implementation to all UN resolutions warning that these
accusations serve the Israeli interests.
In Amman, the
"Jordanian National Forum and the Executive Committee to Protect the
Home and Facing the Normalization" stressed support to Syria against
the American accusations directed against Syria. In two statements
the Forum condemned strongly the "American-British and Zionist
campaign against the Arab Nation."
In Tehran, the Iranian
newspapers condemned the US accusations against Syria stressing that
these accusations come in the framework of the "American-Zionist
campaign against Syria due to its opposition of the aggression on
Iraq."
The Iranian Resalat Gemhori Islami Hmshhri and
Khurassan newspapers pointed out that America wants from its
accusations against Syria to achieve its economic and political
interests in the region.
In Khartoum, the Sudanese al-Sharea
al-Seyassi newspaper called on the Arab League to reject the
American accusations against Syria.
For his part, EU Foreign
Policy Chief Javier Solana expressed his anxiety over the American
accusations directed against Syria calling on US to calm its
statements against Syria and to calm the tension in the Middle
East.
In the same context the Iranian Foreign Ministry
Spokesman Hamid Reda Assafi condemned the US accusations directed
against Syria.
For his part, German Foreign Minister Joschka
Fischer warned against the dangers of the American accusations
against Syria.
